A graduate of Columbia Journalism School, Chase Scheinbaum is an accomplished communications professional and copywriter based in San Diego. Blending in-house and consulting experience, he excels at translating medicine, science, and technology to capture mindshare among key audiences in both regulated and non-regulated industries.

Coupling this with marketing expertise, he made impactful contributions to San Diego Magazine, San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, and PetDx. There, he devised and executed strategic integrated initiatives to introduce and scale a groundbreaking new product—a multi-cancer early detection test—to millions of veterinarians and pet parents. As principal of Shine Bomb Comms, he serves as a communications consultant, elevating PR and media strategies for emerging and established biotechs. He is currently a senior copywriter at global medical technology company Enovis.

He began his career in journalism, for daily newspapers and the largest public broadcast channel in Los Angeles. He’s since garnered bylines in national magazines, sold rights to a feature article, edited a book of interviews with finance luminaries, wrote speeches for executives, penned copy for prominent brands, and led communications efforts for preeminent biotech firms.

By dint of eclectic interests, he sailed from Mexico to Tahiti, speaks Danish ret godt, and labored with a chainsaw for two youthful summers under Alaskan skies.

The thread that ties together his professional experience is copywriting—a masterful command of conception, voice, tone, phrasing, and word choice. 🧵
